The Official Bristol Girls Surf Club Subscription!

Since its creation 3 years ago, Bristol Girls Surf Club has grown into a community of over 2,000 city surfers. In early 2023, the club’s first committee formed and put their heads together to maximise the potential of the club so we could keep fostering meaningful and supportive connections within our community - and what a ride it's been! We put on more events, socials and trips than we ever imagined and in 2023, we registered as an official surf club.

Our vision for the club is to continue to make surfing a safe and empowering space for women, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and connected to others and to surfing - regardless of whether they’ve ever picked up a surfboard before or have been surfing for years.

Why we created the Sisterhood

By having our Sisterhood subscription, we are able to function as an official surf club! This means we are registered with Surfing England which comes with lots of benefits, including insurance which covers you and the club at our events, trips and socials (see more benefits below). The money from Sisterhood subscription goes towards our affiliation and insurance with Surfing England, allows us to subsidise future events, hire venues, run the website, buy equipment for club use, run a jam packed schedule of beach trips, socials, and events, and keep growing this space for women in Bristol.

  2. Receive an email with your Sisterhood number and welcome pack
  3. Read through the welcome pack and linked documents
  4. Start enjoying being part of the Sisterhood!

Do I need a Sisterhood subscription to be part of the club?

No! You do not need to have purchased a Sisterhood subscription to join Bristol Girls Surf Club. Our online Facebook group and community chats will always be free and open to all. Our events, and socials will not require subscription either, but our weekend and international trips with limited space will. If you’re a surf club regular or plan on attending lots of our events, we hope you’re keen to join and access all of the benefits of joining the Sisterhood!
